Mallika Sherawat to play a prostitute-turned-politician in Kundan Shah's Masquerade


Best known for her sultry roles, Mallika Sherawat is all set to go serious in Kundan Shah's political satire, Masquerade.

The bold actor will play the female lead in the film that will go on the floors early next year.

According to Times Of India's source, "Mallika is extremely excited about working with Kundan Shah. She loved the script as well as her character. The film is about a small-town girl from Satara, who makes a journey from being a prostitute to a chief minister."

Kundan Shah said, "The story is about a woman who goes from being a prostitute to a politician. It is very interesting but a challenging role. I am looking forward to starting the film early next year."
