Eklavya misses out on Oscar glory

Here's some sad news for Indian movie lovers.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Eklavya -The Royal Guard, which was India's official entry to the Oscars this year, is out of the race from the Best Foreign Language Films category.

For starters, the Amitabh Bachchan-Sanjay Dutt-Saif Ali Khan starrer Eklavya was mired in controversy, ever since it was declared as India's entry to the prestigious Oscars.

So much so that director Bhavna Talwar, who considered her film - Dharm - as one of the better contenders for the award, went on to claim that the jury was biased in its selection.

She even went up to the extent of going to the court regarding the issue.

Seems like India will have to wait for a while, to bring home this prestigious award.

Well as if anyone expected the Oscar for that movie.
I have not seen either of the movies, so I can't really fight it out ;)

But a movie that questions our beliefs should go to Oscar or the one that respects it and betters it ?!

Thats a qs of my mind, well Lets research on the movies that won Oscars and see why we are failing.
