Shilpa to do a British Big Boss?

British production house Endemol is rumored to have signed Bollywood hottie Shilpa Shetty for their original Big Boss series called “Big Brother”. If sources are to be believed, Shilpa will be not only the first Bollywood star but also the first Indian to participate in this highly popular British reality show.

The Endemol team was looking for an Indian celebrity who is has good looks and an equally good sense of humour. After reading about Shilpa on her website, they had a meeting with her. It is speculated that Shilpa has agreed upon doing the show as she would be interacting with international celebrities.

Big Brother is a reality TV show broadcast on Channel 4 in Wales, in which a number of contestants live in an isolated house trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run. The prize money for the winner will be more than £100,000 (Rs.87.54 lakh).

Reportedly, Shilpa will be leaving for UK by the end of this year and will be staying in Big Brother’s house for a minimum of 25 days. It seems that the actress had to appear for an audition before she was selected for the show.

Big Brother is a bold show and they don’t have television censorship like there is in its Indian version Big Boss. Shilpa was last seen in Shaadi Kar Ke Phas Gaya Yaar opposite Salman Khan. She is now working on projects like Happy Birthday and Metro to release next year.
