Jiah Khan to star opposite Aamir Khan!

Signing an Aamir Khan film is definitely a boon for any actress.

And when news spread that the producer of Aamir 's next film was on the lookout for two actresses to be cast opposite the Khan, every actress worth her mascara tried her luck.

Initially, Ayesha Takia was supposed to do one of the lead roles, but she later backed out of the film for reasons unknown. Then there was news that Kangana Ranaut had signed the film, however, when the actress went to town proclaiming her good fortune, Aamir reportedly was quite miffed with her and decided to drop the idea of casting her.

Priyanka Chopra was then said to be next in line for the same role, and the actress, reports claimed, was very keen to sign the film. Unfortunately, that was not to be. South actress Asin was signed on, much to everyone's surprise.

And now the latest is that Jiah Khan has also been roped in!

A source confirmed, "Yes, Jiah Khan has been signed on as one of the leading ladies along with Asin. In the storyline, one actress plays a part in the past and the other actress plays a part in the future. While Asin has been roped in to play the first part, Jiah has been cast in the latter role."

For Jiah, this is yet another feather in her cap. After debuting in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Nishabd, the actress seems to be bagging films only with the best. Though Jiah herself was unavailable for comment, we must say, she is one lucky girl!

Jiah Khan opposite Salman Khan

Despite debuting in disastrous Nishabd opposite Amitabh Bachchan, Jiah Khan still manages to move on. She has been signed by none other than Boney Kapoor opposite Salman Khan for the remake of superhit Telugu film Pokiri.

Pokiri is one of the biggest hits of Telugu cinema and its remake in Tamil also proved to be blockbuster.

The hindi remake will be directed by dancing sensation Prabhu Deva.

Jiah starts action training now

Jiah, who has been well appreciated by the critics for her acting in her debut film NISHABD, is presently living it up in London. Her video 'TAKE LITE' which she has sung, written and choreographed her own belly dancing steps like Shakira, has also been creating waves.

She has also gone to London to spend time with her sister who is settled down there. But a little birdie informs that Jiah, besides living it up in London, has also been training in Tai Chi & Motor cycle stunts for her next film which she has signed.

When asked about her next film, Jiah just laughs "Hey, I am having great fun in London. I'm just chilling out. I'm glad that my debut performance has been appreciated. Let me have some fun before I focus completely on my next film."

Jiah Khan to Take Light!

RGV’s latest muse Jiah Khan, who makes her debut in a dream role opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Nishabd, is more than just drop-dead gorgeous.

The 19-year old is multi-talented in the truest sense of the word. She has composed and sung a peppy number “Take Light”, in Nishabd. A delighted Jiah exclaims, “The main idea of the song was to reinforce my character in the film, which has the attitude to ‘chill’ and ‘take it easy’.”

The song had been composed by her when she was only sixteen. When RGV heard the song, he liked it so much that he decided to incorporate it in the film. Says Jiah, “I composed the English version of the song, and had someone translate it into Hindi lyrics. But I made changes just to ensure that the song is louder and more exciting.” Jiah changed the orchestration alongside producer Amar Mohile, and got ready to set the screen ablaze with a Shakira-inspired belly dance. Did she choreograph the dance herself? “I didn’t exactly choreograph the song,” she says, “Since we were running out of time, RGV asked me to do whatever I liked. So I did an impromptu dance in just one take!”

The Bollywood babe was pleasantly surprised when the Hollywood actor asked her to have a drink with him.

Orlando Bloom, better known as the blacksmith-turned-pirate from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ series, met Bollywood newcomer Jiah Khan in Venice recently. While Jiah was holidaying there with her friends, Bloom was apparently there to attend a film festival.

Reports have it that Jiah and Bloom met at a Venice bar called Cipriani. Jiah, who had her long black hair open, soon caught the attention of Bloom, who reportedly asked her for a drink.

During the course of their conversation, Jiah told him that she was an actress from India. Thereafter, the two discussed cinema over glasses of red wine. When Jiah asked Bloom if he knew anything about Indian cinema, the Hollywood star could only recall one name: Amitabh Bachchan .

Coincidentally, Jiah is making her Bollywood debut opposite Mr. Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma’s movie Nishabd .

Although Jiah’s date with Bloom was a brief one, the two apparently had a good time together.

Jiah Khan has earlier been quoted as saying that Mr. Bachchan smelt really good. Incidentally Jiah had done a short stint in a perfume factory and had a good nose for perfume. She could recognize any famous brand of perfume or cologne just by smelling it once.

According to her, Mr. Bachchan has an amazing collection of cologne. He would sport a new brand everyday during the shooting of ‘Nishabd’. She would smell it once and instantly tell Mr. Bachchan which brand it was. Initially Mr. Bachchan would think that it was just mere guesswork. But when Jiah started doing this regularly without fail, he was taken aback and suspected that Jiah was going through his toiletries kit. So the actual factory story has been finally revealed...!

Jiah Khan hums a song in Nishabd

Ram Gopal Verma’s latest discovery, the nimble Jiah Khan, is reported to have sung a song in her debut Nishabd. The self-confessed lover of Amitabh Bachchan, Jiah is also a great dancer and has performed a Shakira-inspired belly dance in the movie.

After playing screen husband to Hema Malini, Jaya Pradha, Revathy and Sharmila Tagore, Amitabh Bachchan will now be seen romancing Jiah Khan, who is less than one-third his age! Nishabd is a movie about inexplicable love between an 18-year old girl (played by Jiah Khan) and a 60-year old man (played by Amitabh Bachchan). The movie also stars actor-turned-director Revathy. Nishabd is set to release early in February next year.

Jiah seems to be the hottest newcomer to Bollywood. Everyone's eyes are glued to Jiah's 'Lolita' act in NISHABD starring superstar Amitabh Bachchan. In fact Insiders who have seen the rushes of the promos are raving that she is RGV's best discovery since Urmila Matondkar. Someone who has seen the promo can't s stop raving about the new discovery. 'She is the next Urmila … After Rangeela, No RGV heroines has exuded so much of screen charisma & oomph factor & she seems quite aware that she has 'it' in her… NISHABD is gonna shock everyone.

And boy, she can really dance. Rumour has the producers will be recording a special song & Jiah will be featuring in it. Jiah will be doing a 'Shakira' act replete with belly dancing et al. Jiah is professionally trained in Reggae, Lambada, Jazz, Samba, Kathak, Belly dancing and Salsa. Since films were always her passion, she also attended a famous Film Institute in the US where they teach Method acting. Infact she has also written & composed the music in collaboration with her friends when she was only sixteen.

Come 2007, this hottest newcomer is all to light the screen on fire!!
