Sanjay Suri re-launches site

http://www.missindia.com.au/images/sanjay_suri.jpg
Here is good news for all Sanjay Suri fans. Sanjay has re-launched his website and is looking forward to becoming much more accessible with his fans as well as professionals who may wish to get in touch with him.

"There was this site of mine which was created around 3 years back but it always had some areas of improvements", says Sanjay, "I along with my web designer worked on this entire professional feel that we wanted to give to the site. The idea was not just to add some pictures and give it a snazzy look and feel", he adds, "In addition the purpose was to have an interactive site where audience could come in, post their comments on what they loved or hated about me or my film, get in touch with me, access information about my past and forthcoming films along with other usual details."

What more is in the offering here? "Navigation was given key importance. So many times it happens that one gets lost in what to see and in the process misses out in accessing some information for his use. This is why it was of utmost importance to make the site so user friendly that a person accessing the website knows in a jiffy what was there in the offering", he explains.

Apart from fans, any other target set of visitors that he had in mind? "Film makers who want to see my work from the past and get in touch with me for their projects", he says quickly, "In fact you would be surprised to know that makers of some of the recent films that I have locked in approached me though my website itself. It is a great medium and though in West it is being used in an extremely professional manner, in India it is catching up well too!"

Sanjay Suri is HARI SADU

http://content.msn.co.in/NR/rdonlyres/C8095EDF-FFBB-481F-A59C-0404C2E3A8EB/32780/sanjay_suri_big150.jpg
Remember the cruel boss in a popular job portal commercial? His name there was HARI SADU where H stood for HITLER, A for ARROGANT, R for RASCAL and I for Idiot. Well, this is what his subordinate thought of him!

And now Sanjay Suri is all set to play a character that bears the same name - HARI SADU - though with an entirely different personality and attitude.

In his upcoming film SALAAM INDIA, Sanjay Suri plays a cricket fanatic and coach of school boy cricketers who believes that gully cricket is to be played with a similar commitment as any other level of cricket, even if it’s the World Cup. A man who believes that cricket should be played for the love of it and nothing else, he is the one for whom playing good cricket is more important than just winning matches.

Written and directed by Subhash Kapoor, SALAAM INDIA stars Sandhya Mridul, Milind Soman, Manoj Pahwa, Sachin Khedekar, Vinay Pathak and Shradha Nigam, it is aiming for a release during the upcoming World Cup Cricket.

Sanjay Suri – From a gay to a gigolo and cricket coach

http://www.mybrothernikhil.com/images/cast/sanjay_suri.jpg
After playing a gay in 'My Brother Nikhil', Sanjay Suri would be seen in a different role altogether as he dons the greasepaint for a character who is a gigolo.

And that's not all as there is another movie that he has recently shot for where he plays a cricket coach.

Lots of variety here, isn't that so?

"That's right", says Sanjay Suri, "the two films are quite interesting and entertaining. While in 'Anubhav' [tentatively titled], I play a gigolo, I get into the gear of a cricket coach for 'Salaam India'!"

Please elaborate. "Anubhav is directed by Rajiv Nath who is a National award winner filmmaker from Kerala. I play a theater actor whose life goes for a spin after a series of incidents. He is forced to make some decisions and in the process he looses his way to become a gigolo. The film has many layers and talks about how life is not completely black or white", he explains.

And how about 'Salaam India'? Isn't Sanjay too young to be playing a coach already? "Well, I am a coach but for an under-15 team", he laughs, "The film is about cricket and is directed by a new director named Subhash Kapoor. 'Salaam India' tells the tale about this guy who is basically a cricket fanatic and for whom cricket is just cricket, be it gully cricket or World Cup!"
