Yash Raj Films signs Shahid Kapoor?

Speculation is rife in tinsel town that, Yash Raj Films' Aditya Chopra has pencilled Shahid Kapoor for two major films.

In fact, the producer and actor met recently to discuss these projects.

Reportedly, the first project will be helmed by Anurag Singh, who has been an associate of Aditya Chopra for a while now.

Shahid doesn't deny that he met Adi, but is tight-lipped about what actually transpired.

"We're still in talks. I won't deny that he has offered films to me, but it wouldn't be right to comment on it till everything is finalized. Adi is out of town and a clear picture will only emerge once he's back," Shahid said.

Shahid-Sania Mirza: To serve with love?

Looks like Shahid Kapoor and tennis player Sania Mirza are getting closer!

The two of them are spending more quality time with each other. On Monday evening, Shahid and Sania were spotted having dinner at Bangalore's Windsor Sheraton, a suburban five-star hotel.

Says an eyewitness, "Shahid and Sania very much looked like a couple. They were completely engrossed in each other, and were oblivious of what was happening around them."

A close friend of Shahid says, "Yes, Shahid did spend time with Sania and they have been bonding very well with each other."

Shahid's friend goes on to add that Shahid was never in a relationship with Vidya Balan , who is paired opposite him in Aziz Mirza's Kismet Connection.

"That link-up was merely to create hype for Kismet Connection," he signs off.

Shahid, John Abraham and Kangana in Saajan remake

Known for his love triangle stories, director Lawrence D'Souza is back with a bang.

He wants to recreate the magic of his film Saajan.

"Yes I am back and am planning to revive the Sanjay, Salman and Madhuri starrer Saajan. My writers Rajiv Kaul and Praful Parikh are working on a script. It will be a love triangle. The backdrop of Saajan was Ooty while this film will have a backdrop of Kashmir," he informs.

Saajan had an interesting pairing of Sanjay Dutt, Salman and Madhuri Dixit and it is believed that Lawrence is now planning to sign John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut for the main leads.

He confirms, "Yes I want this star cast as its apt for my script. My heroine is a Kashmiri girl and Kangana fits the bill."

Shahid-Kareena: Still friends?

Not all Bollywood's love stories have a happy ending. Shahid and Kareena's is a living example.

Though the duo has ended their four-year-old relationship, they have been going around saying, "We are still friends and remain in touch with each other."

So far, so good for them. But, when it comes to doing movies together, they are simply shying away.

We guess they still can't differentiate between professional and personal lives!

Kareena: "Shahid and I are very much together!"

Only yesterday it was reported that the handsome couple, Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, had called it quits and that Bebo had replaced her SK (Shahid Kapoor) with another SK (Saif Ali Khan).

Apparently, Bebo and Saif became 'good friends' on the sets of Tashan and Shahid wasn't too comfortable with the camaraderie.

However, Kareena maintains that it isn't as easy as that!

"Shahid and I are very much together. He is in Toronto right now. All these rumours are ridiculous," she is heard to have said.

Well, at least one couple is intelligent enough to come forward and clarify their stand.

Kareena, Shahid call it quits!

According to the latest buzz in Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor-Shahid Kapoor relationship has hit a dead end!

And the reason behind it is none other than Saif Ali Khan, who reportedly did some serious damage to Bipasha Basu-John Abraham love story as well.

Sources claim that it all happened on the sets of Yashraj Films' Tashan in Ladakh and later, Jaisalmer where Saif and Kareena instantly got attracted to each other.

However, Shahid's close friend reveals that the actor is clueless about Saif's closeness to Kareena as he is in Canada shooting for Nagesh Kukunoor's Tasveer.

Kareena chose not to comment on the story.

Shahid Kapoor signs two films deal with UTV

After Priyanka Chopra, UTV has decided to rope in one more young and talented actor from the industry for their forthcoming projects.

They have now signed a two films deal with Shahid Kapoor.

Shahid has been signed for two films which will be made over a period of two years. He has earlier worked in the UTV film Chup Chup Ke which was directed by Priyadarshan.

Ram Mirchandani, Vice President, UTV Motion Pictures, informs that they are working on scripts and planning to start the film with Shahid in December this year. He adds that Ken Ghosh will be directing one of the films.

Kareena and Shahid teamed again?

They haven't starred in a thriller after FIDA, but there's speculation that love birds Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are expected to star in one. There's talk that Lovely Singh, who makes his directorial debut with Kya Love Story Hai, has approached the two actors for his next film, a thriller.

“Kareena and Shahid are friends and we do meet each other often, but I haven't approached them or any actor for my next venture,” Lovely denies the news-report outright, “People are waiting for KLSH to release. Its box-office fate will decide my future course of action.”

Hum saath-saath hain!

Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, the real-life love birds, have signed their new [fourth] film together. The film in question will be directed by Imtiaz Ali [SOCHA NA THA] and produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd. [the firm had produced GOLMAAL and BHAGAM BHAG recently].

The casting of Shahid and Kareena raises eyebrows primarily because the two actors had decided against starring in a film together after FIDA, 36 CHINA TOWN and CHUP CHUP KE. “I guess, people are deciding a lot of things for us these days,” Shahid laughs, “Its mere speculation. Not once have Kareena or I ever made a statement to that effect.”

Let’s talk of their new project together. “Our only pre-condition was, our roles have to compliment each other. Not more, not less. We were looking at several scripts that would do justice to our talent. When Imtiaz approached us with this offer, we couldn’t refuse it because of its novel premise. It’s something we haven’t attempted in the past,” Shahid reveals.

Reportedly, it’s a love story with a startling twist. “I wouldn’t like to divulge much at this stage. All I’d like to say is that it’s driven by two characters,” the teen heart-throb states. The film is expected to go on floors in March this year.

Happy times ahead for Shahid Kapoor

After a lukewarm 2005 didn't get him any box office gains in spite of being noticed for good performances in DEEWANE HUE PAGAL, VAAH LIFE HO TOH AISI and SHIKHAR, 2006 has been extremely positive for him with back to back successes in the form of 36 CHINA TOWN, CHUP CHUP KE and above all VIVAH.

In continuation to the same trend, year 2007 should also begin on a rocking note for him with the release of FOOL N FINAL, which is a Firoz Nadiadwala production. A full on entertainment film, FOOL N FINAL has a trademark Nadiadwala stamp and director Ahmed Khan is only expected to deliver what is expected from films belonging to such genre.

Further to this, Shahid Kapoor has just started signing new films after a hiatus with the first one being a Ramesh Sippy production. This yet untitled film has Shahid starring opposite Nana Patekar with Rohit Shetty of GOLMAAL fame at the helm of direction.

Partners in crime- Ayesha & Shahid

Yes! The very youthful Shahid Kapoor and Ayesha Takia play partners in crime in Ahmed Khan’s FOOL and FINAL. Takia plays a thief along with Shahid and they are always on the run, choreographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan (who made his directorial debut with LAKEER) informed a tabloid. He said it is all about fools trying to finalise things. They are out and out to get each other but end up getting together. He also revealed that Ayesha plays a bubbly girl with a different look and will be seen chewing bubble gum in the film. She’s sporting an unkempt, scruffy look in the film. Shahid plays a trendy city slicker who rides a BMX cycle throughout the film. The film has some amazing, breathtaking stunts by Allan Amin.
