Its official: Neha Dhupia-Ritwik affair squashed!

Rumours are abuzz that Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia has split from her boyfriend, squash player Ritwik Bhattacharya.

Neha has been dating Ritwik for last few years.

Ritwik
has been a family friend of Neha's for as long as ten years and even Neha's parents approved of him.

The two had been in a rock steady relationship until recently, when rumours about their alleged split became public.

If reports are to be believed, there was a visible lack of chemistry between Neha and Ritwik at the Sunburn Festival in Goa, that was held last week.

The two were seen maintaining a discreet distance from each other and hardly exchanged any words. Their body language suggested that all was not well in their love story.

Meanwhile, speaking to a tabloid, Neha maintained that she and Ritwik were 'still good friends'.

Well, there could be more to these words that meets the eye!

Neha collapses on the sets of I Think I Am 24

Neha Dhupia recently collapsed on the sets of her forthcoming movie I Think I Am 24.

It became quite a difficult situation for Neha as they were shooting an important sequence for the movie. The crew got frenzied and left everybody worried about her. The shooting had to be halted for sometime.

Seeing her condition, in no time the producer and director Saurabh Shukla ran for her rescue. She soon caught up her breath and got back to normalcy after taking a break of around 2 hours.

Describing this awful experience, Neha says, "I got enervated, and I fell on the floor. But the crew of the movie was really supportive and helpful to bring me back to the toes. But I was happy that shooting wasn't called off because of me and we resumed back to the sequence."

When today no actress leaves an opportunity to throw tantrums while shooting a film, Neha deserves applause for being professional.

Neha Dhupia wanted to be an IAS officer

Bollywood oomph girl Neha Dhupia says her dream at one time was to become an IAS officer.

"What I plan never works out. So I have stopped planning now," Neha said. "I wanted to join the civil services and become an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer and did not have any plans to model or act. But, then, Miss India happened suddenly and now here I am, doing films."

The 26-year-old actress, who bagged the Miss India Universe title in 2002 and a year later made her Bollywood debut in Qayamat, is currently shooting for a film I'm 24, being directed by Saurabh Shukla.

"It is about a guy who is 42 years of age but has to lie that he is only 24 to get something," Neha explains. "The movie will show his struggles and hardships and then he meets me. I play the character of a struggling actress."

The silver screen scorcher, well known for portraying bold characters in films such as Julie and Sheesha, loves to travel, read and takes a keen interest in sports.

Neha Dhupia promotes Tata Indicom

Promoting brands and making public appearances is probably the best way to kill time for an actor who's taking a break with films. That's what former Miss India Neha Dhupia is busy doing.

On Monday afternoon Neha stepped in at the ITC Grand hotel in Mumbai to promote Tata Indicom's latest mobile handset.

"This one's high on technology, it's got Internet radio, which is very important for us today it gives us traffic updates and other things besides great music," said Neha.

Fresh from the release of Ek Chalis Ki Last Local and Shootout At Lokhandwala which didn't really work well for the actress, this is all she had to say.

"Well I can't say much about it because I'm just back from a long holiday. I've landed this morning only. So I don't know," said Neha.

Well Neha has the right reason to take a break and while she does that we'll wait for her next film.

Neha Dhupia’s first ever cabaret act!

Think of an actor from Bollywood performing a Cabaret dance so sensuous that it could take you off your feet.

It's a task that few achieve. However, many have been trying over the years to make an attempt to come at least half as close to the beauty and grace of Helen. The latest one who's seen trying her luck is Neha Dhupia who performs a cabaret sequence in Saurabh Shukla's upcoming film I M 24.

After missing the last train in Ek Chalis Ki Last Local and struggling with the existence of being a cop's wife, she seems to be looking up to this film. The film will see Neha going for a Cabaret dance, the first time ever in her career. Starring opposite Neha is Ranveer Shourie, rather known for his unconventional and off beat association of roles.

While Ranveer also plays a wannabe actor in the movie caught in a 'tit for tat' game with Neha, director Saurabh Shukla himself features in the movie as a rich producer. Also, in special appearance will be Lilette Dubey playing the role of a Saurabh's catty witty girlfriend, a role that she could pull off perhaps the best.

I M 24 is being talked about as a light-hearted romantic comedy shot merely in a span of 22 days! So hopefully, we would expect the movie to stay in theatres for at least half that time!

She may not be setting the cash registers ringing at the box office, with her last film ‘Chup Chup Ke’ fairing quite poorly, but Neha Dhupia’s managed to retain her star power.

Brand ambassador of a Polish watch company, Neha is currently in Switzerland to attend a three-day long watch festival, where she’s scheduled to walk the red carpet with world-famous celebs like Paris Hilton.

“It will be nice as I will get to see a lot of good stuff,” said Neha before leaving for Swtizerland on Wednesday night. The actor has carried nine outfits designed by Varun Goel and Aparna Chandra to flaunt at the event.

“I haven’t yet learnt the art of travelling light. I’ve carried nine outfits, but have not decided which ones to wear yet,” she said, adding in a lighter vein, “The most important thing I must remember, however, is to reach everywhere on time. After all, it is a watch festival!”

Abhay and Neha's onscreen kiss in 1:40 Ki Last Local

Onscreen kissing is slowly taking up in Bollywood. After the infamous kiss between Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in Dhoom 2, it is now Abhay Deol and Neha Dhupia who will be seen lip-locked in their upcoming film 1:40 Ki Last Local. This will be the first time that Abhay will be kissing onscreen while Neha is not new to this (Julie, Sheesha). Onscreen kisses were also seen in recent films like Pyaar Ke Side Effects and Salaam Namaste. Though kissing in Bollywood was generally considered a no-no, these days Bollywood is becoming quite open about it.

1:40 Ki Last Local is story about a young man who misses his last train and lands up in a situation. The film is directed by Sanjay Khandoori and is scheduled to release early next year.
