Chunky got ‘monkeyed’

http://img.indiaglitz.com/hindi/news/Chunky040306_1.jpg

Chunky Pandey will never be able to forget the experience of getting mugged by his fan in London two months ago. The actor lost 17 bags of shopping worth at least 3,000 pounds even before he started shooting for friend and producer Arjun Rampal’s ‘I See You.’ All the clothes were to be used in the film where he plays a TV host along with Arjun.

The con man who Chunky met while shopping on London’s Bond Street identified himself as a fan from Bangladesh. He took pictures with Chunky, sang songs with him and professed to have seen each film of his 30-40 times. While Chunky was busy shopping the ‘con-fan’ offered to carry his bags.

Chunky laughs recalling the incident, “I didn’t in my wildest dreams think that somebody could run away with 17 bags. I had agreed to let him carry the bags thinking where would I get a free mule in London of all places? ”

When Chunky forgot his mobile phone in one of the stores, and went back to retrieve it, the Bangladeshi fan vanished from the scene. All Chunky could do was file a complaint at the Bangladeshi embassy, while the crew of ‘I See You’ laughed at him.

Sonali Kulkarni beats Chunky Pandey!

View Chunky Panday - Picture GalleryOne has heard about the sorry tales of wife beaters in a number of films. Now witness the tale of a husband beater in an upcoming film. The woman with the stick in hand? Sonali Kulkarni!

Surprised? Well, yes it does sound surprising for sure but that is quite true, as Sonali turns into a husband beater in her forthcoming release I SEE YOU. Though the film stars Arjun Rampal in the lead, Chunky Pandey too has an interesting role to play as he enacts the role of Arjun's best friend with Sonali as his wife. No wonder, he is shown to be a guy who gets beaten up by his wife every now and then, though everything happens in a lighter vein.

http://www.indiadaily.com/images/editorial/7988_320.jpgOn contacted this is what Chunky had to say who has recently tasted success with his Nepali/Afghan don role in APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY, "Arrey baba, I had some horrid time on the sets while getting beaten up every now and then. It was hard to believe that it was actually happening to me all this while but then when you watch the film, you would realize how funny this entire act turns out to be!"

Well, knowing Chunky's penchant for comedy here and Sonali's tryst for perfection in each of her films so far, whether mainstream or experimental, one can expect a rocking show all the way when this couple as contrasting as chalk and cheese appears on screen!
