Shah Rukh Khan's new commercial with Dia

I just saw this new Snacky Biscuit ad of Shahrukh Khan with Dia Mirza and thought of sharing this with my dear readers.

The commercial has been produced by SRK's production house Red Chillies.

Although Dia has done a few stage shows with Khan, this is the first time that they have shared screen space in the new Snacky commercial.

Dia says, "After I had a look at the storyboard, I noticed that Snacky was unlike any other biscuit commercial. It was so funny, naughty and romantic at the same time. SRK was an additional incentive for me to be a part of the ad."


Designer Surily Goel was roped in for the costumes of the actors whereas Avaan Contractor for Mirza's hair styling.

Dia Mirza in 'Bits and Pieces'

Dia Mirza sheds her glamourous image for a forthcoming film.

We haven't seen the gorgeous and glamourous Dia playing a plain Jane till now. But that will change with National Award winning director Manmohan Mahapatra's first Hindi movie Bits and Pieces .

In the movie, Dia plays a widow. Her character Sheil is a mentally strong and educated woman who fends for herself after the death of her husband.

Rahul Bose plays the film's protagonist, Arindam, an author looking for inspiration for his new novel. Sheil had once been in a relationship with him. Now she holds up the mirror to Arindam and compels him to look within.

The movie's story is multi-layered. One of the layers explores the unusual relationship between Sheil and Arindam.

Dia says she has been craving to do a different role for a long time. And she is very happy that it came in the form of this movie. The toughest part of her role, Dia says, was to imagine the life of a widow and to portray it.

"The simplicity and the profoundness of the character made it extremely exciting and fulfilling," Dia is quoted as saying.

The credentials of the movie's director Manmohan Mahapatra (10-time National Award winner) and the movie's cast (Rahul Bose, Nandita Das and Raima Sen ) were what got Dia drawn to the project.

The film has been shot in Orissa. It is aimed at international film festival circuit.
