Adlabs forays into distribution of English films

Adlabs will release the most awaited international film of the year Spider Man 3 in the country’s major territories like Mumbai, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab on 4th May, simultaneously to the worldwide release of the film.

In association with Percept Picture Company, Adlabs will release over 250 prints, a major percentage of the total 600 prints being distributed all over India and will also market the film in these territories so fans can look forward to some exciting marketing innovations leading up to the release. Various innovations will be initiated ranging from TV to on ground consumer activation at multiplexes and other consumer outlets. The film will have a multiple language release in English, Hindi and Bhojpuri.


According to Sunir Kheterpal, COO, Adlabs Distribution, “Adlabs is proud to be associated with the release of Spider-Man 3 in India's major territories by partnering with Percept Picture Company. This association highlights our intent to not only release films independently but also partner collaboratively with other leading players in the content acquisition and distribution space".

The release of Spider-Man 3, which is one of the biggest film releasing in India this year, also marks the entry of Adlabs in domestic distribution of Hollywood films. Spider-Man 3 will be followed by the release of Sandra Bullock starrer, Premonition.


Having started its domestic distribution business with Mani Ratnam's Guru in January 2007, Adlabs has also released Black Friday (February 2007) and the recent hit, Bheja Fry (April 2007). Adlabs' future releases include Priyadarshan's Dhol, Anubhav Sinha's Cash, Mudassar Aziz's Dulha Mil Gaya and Anurag Basu's Suicide Bomber.
