Aishwarya rides an elephant again

For Aishwarya Rai, things are looking much better after her recent hassles with the Customs Department. Her latest release Dhoom 2 has generated waves across the nation along with international acclaim. And wasn't she looking hot? The lady is upbeat and on a high. And literally high! The lady rode an elephant for the second time in her acting career. Aishwarya had earlier sat on an elephant in Gurinder Chaddha's Bride and Prejudice.

Aishwarya who's currently shooting for Ashutosh Gowarikar's Jodha Akbar, is excited about the cultural shift, from the hi-tech and sleek Dhoom 2 to the luxurious and grand era of Mughals in Jodha Akbar. She even rode an elephant in the film. Ash says, "I rode an elephant for a scene. And his name was Lakhi. After Dhoom 2 and its hi-tech ambience and accessories , entering a world of elephants and Mughal grandeur is a true culture shock. And a real challenge for both Hrithik and me after Dhoom. But what's the life of an actor without challenges? I'm at a stage in my career where I need to constantly re-invent myself."

So, will the lady luck shine on Ash this time around keeping in mind that her last period film fell flat at the box office? Can the lavish sets and costumes recreate the Magic of the Mughal empire? And… Is Ash a mis fit for the role of Jodha? Is the audience acceptance of Sunehri and not of Umrao Jaan signalling towards a possible type-casting of Ash?
