'Babuji' mantle passes from Yana to Anjana
In 2003 came DUM and made a star out of Yana Gupta. It was hard not to happen, considering the fact that she had a crowd-pleasing number in the form of 'Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo', which is played till date.
But soon the mantle is all set to pass on to Anjana Sukhani as she gyrates seductively to the re-arranged version of, no not 'Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo', but old classic 'Babuji Dheere Chalna' from the film AAR PAAR. She does this in the film SALAAM-E-ISHQ where she attracts none other than Anil Kapoor with her classy 'n' sensual antics as she sways to 2006 version of 'Babuji' that has a lounge appeal to it.
Originally sung by Geeta Dutt, the re-arranged version is rendered by newcomer Nihira who does a good job in this soft song about seduction and love. When contacted, young 'n' pretty Anjana said, "The song is one of the highlights of the film and the way it has been shot, it has turned out to be pretty classy in appeal and presentation. I am sure the number will get noticed."
When asked what she felt about the movie as a whole that is the first multistarrer she has been a part of, she said, "Ya, it is a very good feel and pretty entertaining too since you have so many love stories about different characters running parallel. Due to this, audience will never once get bored during the movie as things would move at rapid pace from one love story to another."
For starters, Anjana made her Bollywood debut with India's first game show film HUM DUM as the sole heroine in 2005. After that she appeared in SUN ZARRA that released last year. Her claim to fame has notably been the remix music video of 'Dhal Jaayegi Ghar Jaayegi' along with number of advertisements she has done over the years.
