Ghai starts new film!

After KISNA, Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts handed the directorial reins of its forthcoming films to outside directors. While Ghai concentrated on his new ‘baby’ Whistling Woods, Mukta Arts successfully produced IQBAL [Nagesh Kukunoor], SHAADI SE PEHLE [Satish Kaushik], 36 CHINA TOWN [Abbas-Mustan] and APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY [Sangeeth Sivan] in the intervening period.

Well, Ghai has bounced back with his new film. And it’s called BLACK & WHITE. Starring Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah and introducing new-finds Anurag Sinha and Aditi Sharma as the lead pair, the film was shot in Delhi recently, while a 15-day schedule begins in Mumbai from 16th December [today].

What’s the film all about? Okay, here’s some inside info on BLACK & WHITE: It tells the story of a terrorist and his journey to accomplish his only mission in life. A journey that lasts for fifteen days in the heart of Old Delhi. A journey that changes his life.

Meanwhile, Ghai’s Mukta Searchlight has completed another film that’s called CYCLE KICK. Directed by Shashi Sudigala and starring new talent, CYCLE KICK tells the story of two boys -- Ramu and Ali -- of contrasting personalities who come together as they are forced to share a bicycle.

This broken down bicycle, which serves as a means of livelihood for Ramu and is a status symbol for Ali, drives this story to its ultimate climax as these underdogs take on the biggest college in a match of a lifetime.
