| | We do! Perizaad and Boman Irani | Here's one couple that doesn't believe in tom-tomming about their celebrity status! After exchanging marriage vows in a traditional Parsi ceremony, Perizaad Zorabian and hubby Boman Irani settled for a gala reception at Taj Lands End over the weekend.
Perizaad sizzled in an elegant all-white sari replete with sequins and embroidery, while Boman opted for a black suit. Says a source, "Perizaad wanted a simple outfit but rich in material." Starry affair The Bolly crowd made their presence felt with a bespectacled Amitabh Bachchan making a quick entry and exit. The rest of the clan, comprising Shabana Azmi, Ketan Mehta, Deepa Sahi, Subhash Ghai, Aashish Chowdhry, Samita Bangargi, Anusha Dandekar and Rannvijay huffed and puffed as they waited in queue to congratulate the couple. Not to mention good friend Boman Irani (the actor!) also attended all the functions, attributing this to "the Parsi connection". | | | We're here: Deepa Sahi and Ketan Mehta | In circles where it matters, the buzz is that Perizaad's not-so-big-fat wedding didn't match up to B-Town's usually grand weddings. However, Perizaad remains unruffled by such talk. The actress told HiTLIST: "I don't believe in making a big splash just because I'm an actor. This is the most personal and exciting journey of my life." The couple will take off for a month-long honeymoon to an undisclosed locale this week. |
