Amidst the 'Celebrity Big Brother' controversy comes the news that Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty may soon co-host the UK version of a reality cricket show based on the 'Indian Idol.'

Shilpa is in talks with the Investors in Cricket, the owners of the 'Cricket Star' television show, a PRNewswire-Asianet release said in London on thursday quoting the producers of the show.

"Cricket is a racially integrated sport across the world, and ignites huge passion in India. While it is not the most popular sport in the UK, it is undergoing a large revival, and it is a critically important sport for the integration of British Asians in the UK.

Hence, Shilpa will be the perfect host," said Fraser Castellino, CEO of Cricket Star.

'Cricket Star' was launched on Indian TV last week and is presented by Shweta Salve, along with a host of cricket celebrities including Kapil Dev, Sourav Ganguly and England's Monty Panesar.
