Rabbi goes filmy with Delhi Heights
Two years ago maverick singer Rabbi Shergill burst onto the music scene with his superhit track Bulla ki jaana.
Now the singer-cum-poet who gave a contemporary twist to traditional Sufi and Punjabi music has composed the music for Delhi Heights starring Jimmy Shergill and Neha Dhupia.
He says his reason for choosing this film to make his debut in Bollywood was simple.
"Complete freedom to do the music as there were no reins on my creativity," said Shergill.
Shergill prefers to sing in Punjabi and is passionate about Sufi music. He says the music of Delhi Heights will not disappoint his fans.
The promo video for the film has been shot in and around Delhi and is a tribute to the capital.
The videos of Rabbi's tracks haven't featured either skin or the usual remix razzmatazz but he says it might change if the song demands it.
"I am never saying that there won't be a miniskirt girl dancing in my videos but till now the songs I've done have not required it. But if there's a sensual song in the future then who knows as long as its aesthetic," said Shergill.
Next week when the film's music releases you might just catch Rabbi scaling new heights.
