Ranbir Kapoor bags 3 Yashraj projects

Rishi Kapoor's son has reportedly signed a three-film contract with Yashraj Films. (A feat, considering he hasn't debuted yet!)

Some guys have all the luck. Take Ranbir Kapoor for instance. He is probably one of the most talked-about star sons of Bollywood. Ranbir, the son of Rishi and Neetu Kapoor is all set to make his debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariyan, scheduled for a Diwali release.

However, the rising star is clearly being considered for various projects. For instance, he was approached for Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra's Dilli 6, a role that he refused. Not that the big breaks have stopping coming. It is now learnt that he has been signed on by what is the biggest studio in Bollywood — Yashraj Films —for a film to be directed by Siddarth Anand.

A source in Yashraj Films says, "Aditya Chopra is very impressed by Ranbir's screen presence. Aditya had seen his pictures in the newspapers, and had called Rishi Kapoor saying he wanted to launch him. However, Ranbir went ahead and signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film opposite Sonam Kapoor (another star kid, Sonam is Anil Kapoor's daughter). Currently, Aditya has expressed his desire to sign him for a three-film contract which the Kapoors have agreed to in principle."

So what is this trilogy going to be about? What films are in store for the latest Kapoor on the block? The first in the line is Siddarth Anand's next film which is said to be a remake of the 1999 popular Hollywood film The Bachelor, a role Ranbir will apparently essay opposite five leading ladies! (Sounds like a handful?) "The actor will play the lead role of Chris 'O Donell in this re-hashed romantic comedy. The film will go on the floors by the end of the year," says a source.
