Scoop! Aamir begins shooting for Kajri!

Aamir Khan, who has finally finished shooting for his ill-fated children’s film Taare Zameen Par, is currently working on the Hindi remake of the Tamil superhit film Ghajini.

The actor, who likes to do things quietly (and secretly), held a small mahurat ceremony for the Hindi remake, titled Kajri, in Mumbai last week. Present at the function were Telegu superstar Chiranjeevi, who sounded the clapper, and Tamil actor Surya (who played the lead in Ghajini).

Also in attendance were producer Allu Aravind and director AR Murugadass, who is making his Bollywood debut with Kajri. Interestingly, Murugadass has previously directed the Tamil film Ghajini.

It may be recalled that Ayesha Takia was pencilled in to play the lead but later walked out of the film over differences with Aamir. Now, Tamil actress Asin will reclaim the role she played in the Tamil version. Another female lead is yet to be finalised.
