Namastey London makes it to Oscar library

After the likes of Lagaan, Devdas, Kal Ho Na Ho, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Eklavya - The Royal Guard and Life in a Metro , the script of Vipul Shah's Namastey London has also been chosen for Academy of Motion Pictures Library .

The Academy got in touch with Vipul Shah to procure the script. "More and more Bollywood films are on the international radar now. We didn't make any particular attempts to reach out to the library but out the blue I received this call requesting for the script. They are now keeping track of what's happening in the Indian motion picture scene," Vipul said.

The Namastey London script will be there permanently for the reference of cinema students.

The Askhay Kumar-Katrina starrer, which is one of the major successes of this year, was a rib-tickling romance. Namastey London will be one amongst masterpieces like Finding Nemo, Million Dollar Baby and The Passion of the Christ.

The library has more than 32,000 books, 1,800 periodical titles, 60,000 screenplays, lobby cards, over 8 million photographs and over 300 manuscripts.
