Padosan remake in the pipeline!

In the season of remakes in Bollywood, comedian and scriptwriter Neeraj Vora is set to direct the remake of yesteryears' hit Padosan.

Made in 1968, Padosan was a laugh riot about a simpleton (Sunil Dutt) in love with a beautiful girl (Saira Banu) living right in front of his house. The girl is interested in music and also has a music master (Mehmood). To impress the girl, the simpleton takes the help of his singer friend (Kishore Kumar) and his music troupe.

The producers reportedly want Govinda to play the music master and Ritesh Deshmukh to play the love-struck Bhole. Sanjay Dutt was sought to play Kishore Kumar's role but now another actor would be finalized.

It is still not known which actress will play the film's leading lady.

Stay tuned in!
