20 Bollywood movies to be screened in Pakistan

Around 20 Bollywood movies are set to hit the screens in Pakistan in the coming days.

Awarapan was the first Bollywood film to have a premiere in Pakistan, in June this year and the climax of the movie was shot in Pakistan.

Besides Awarapan, Ram Gopal Varma's 2005 summer flick Sarkar was also shown in Pakistan. Both the screenings have raised the fans expectations.

A mix of old and new films is going to be screened, including Killer, Gangster and recent Diwali release, Saawariya.

Films featuring Bollywood stars like Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapur, Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Mahima Chaudhary, Priyanka Chopra and Mallika Sherawat among many others are likely to be showcased.

This move is also expected to curb down piracy, which is hugely prevalent in Pakistan.

Bollywood movies and stars have always enjoyed huge popularity among the Pakistani masses, irrespective of the on-off political animosity between the two sub continental neighbours.
