Soap queen Ekta Kapoor plans to set up an acting school that she says will be will be “at par with The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).” Ekta’s father and yesteryear’s superstar Jeetendra is upbeat about the school.

"The school is in its initial stages of planning. We are looking for a suitable location where it would be convenient for the students to travel. We want the school to be conveniently located but it should suit our budget as well," he told leading website.

After giving a series of super-hit soaps (all named with her lucky letter ‘k’) Ekta is looking for fresh faces for her future projects. Her production house, Balaji Telefilms has always followed trend of creating larger-than-life characters out of debuting newcomers.

"All the acting schools only provide training to students; but we will give them a chance to act in our productions as well. If they get a chance to move on to other productions they will be free to do. But that's all in the future. You can call it another FTII. My son Tusshar will not be part of this academy," Jeetendra was quoted as saying by the website.

Talent hunts have many a time given the celluloid screens memorable actors. Lets see, what comes up from the Balaji factory this time.
