Post-Saif, heroes are worried

Post-Saif's hospitalization, there's a new attitude of health caution among our over-worked actors. "All of us need to take care of ourselves," says Madhavan from Chennai where he's been shooting round-the –clock for the Tamil remake of Ram Gopal Varma's unreleased Darling with Shamita Shetty.

Madhavan has been in and out of hospital this year because of his dad's illness. "It's scary! Actors aren't infallible. Saif's illness proves we all need to respect our health," says Maddy.

But over-work seems to be the order of the day in Bollywood. Ask Hrithik Roshan. It's not just the stress of doing his first costume drama that's putting an extra-stress on Hrithik Roshan.

Right now Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodha-Akbar is proving stressful to Hrithik for an extra reason."We've been shooting in Karjat which is about four hours' drive from Mumbai. Every day I've to drive back from Karjat to Mumbai and then back again to start shooting early morning."

Reason? Hrithik is rehearsing in the evenings in Mumbai for his performance at the upcoming Filmfare Awards.

Not believing in half-measures can be awfully taxing at times. And the sooner our actors learn to not combine long grueling hours of shooting with extra-curricular activities, the better.

"Didn't Mr Bachchan's health serve up a warning last year?" reasons a close friend. A lot of Saif's colleagues are now planning to cut down drastically on their work load.
