Amitabh Bachchan sings again for CHEENI KUM

In Nishabd, Amitabh Bachchan had sung a stunning ROZANA, which easily sits in his Top-3 rendered numbers ever. Though the song didn't quite get it's due to the music album releasing at the stands quite late in the day and the film disappearing in a few weeks time, those who heard it would vouch for the fact that it is quite a sensitive song that would be remembered for years to come.

Now for his forthcoming film Cheeni Kum, he has sung once again. While he has been a regular with Aadesh Srivastava [Baghban, Babul] and gave a phenomenal performance for Vishal Bhardwaj [Nishabd], in Cheeni Kum he sings for none less than Illaiyaraja.

Amitabh Bachchan features as a chef of an up market Indian restaurant in London who falls in love with Tabu; approximately half his age in the film. A hilarious take on the relationship that develops between the two and how Amitabh Bachchan approaches Tabu's father Paresh Rawal, a few years younger to him, for her hand forms the crux of the film.

While Nishabd was sensitive and bordered on the morality issues vis-a-vis listening to one's heart, Cheeni Kum instead takes a light hearted approach towards the entire state of affairs and focuses on the situations that arise due to such unique relationship.
