Ishaan Awasthi is an eight-year-old whose world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate; colours, fish, dogs and kites are just not important in the world of adults, who are much more interested in things like homework, marks and neatness. And Ishaan just cannot seem to get anything right in class.

When he gets into far more trouble than his parents can handle, he is packed off to a boarding school to 'be disciplined'. Things are no different at his new school, and Ishaan has to contend with the added trauma of separation from his family.

One day a new art teacher bursts onto the scene, Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who infects the students with joy and optimism. He breaks all the rules of 'how things are done' by asking them to think, dream and imagine, and all the children respond with enthusiasm, all except Ishaan.

Nikumbh soon realizes that Ishaan is very unhappy, and he sets out to discover why. With time, patience and care, he ultimately helps Ishaan find himself.

Produced and directed by Aamir Khan, Taare Zameen Par has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and the movie is slated for December 21 release.

Taare Zameen Par is an excellent movie and I recommend everybody to watch it.

The last movies of Aamir Khan : Earth, Lagaan, Mangal Pandey, Rang De Basanti were all good movies as compared to the stupid repeating stories that other actors (such as Shah Ruck Khan) would play and cheered by the foolish public.

I am shocked that a movie like Om Shanti Om with such bad scripts and performances is rocking in India. Is it a blind love for Shah Ruck Khan or the majority of Indian people prefers stupid movies

Taare Zeeman Par is the first Indian Movie of this year which made my heart cry and laugh.

kabir TZP is better as compared to oso but oso is also a good time pass and dont find any logic behind SRK movies, SRK just want to make more and more money from film industry nothing else.

@kabir - TZP is indeed a masterpiece from Mr.Perfectionist (Aamir) himself no doubts on that!!

However, I wont say that OSO is a bad movie or has a bad script. Everyone has a different perspective towards a movie. Some people hate SRK's acting skills and some people totally adore him.

So, lets not be judgemental in saying "Is it a blind love for Shah Ruck Khan or the majority of Indian people prefers stupid movies."

Shah Rukh Khan would've never become a superstar if people wanted so...people love him and that's why his movies do good business in India as well as overseas.

Thanks for stopping by Kabir :)

@sameera - I agree with you when you said, "TZP is better as compared to oso but oso is also a good time pass and dont find any logic behind SRK movies."

Lets just enjoy the movies, guys!!

Thanks for stopping by Sameera :)

Take care!

I just saw the film yesterday..and I left the theatre mesmerized..it's really a dream movie that I believe is very rare to see among the main stream bollywood films with excellent story line, acting and direction. Not to forget the wonderful animation which doesn't stand out of the film a t any time, but simply melts into the film. I sat there in the theatre enjoying every second of the film along with the whole audience. And to end it all, I have never seen a movie where the audience leaves after the complete credits have rolled at the end of the movie. This film is too good a film from India!!!Amir Khan, you rock once again!!!

TZP is an awesome movie.I think this is a first movie of the year which made me cry and laugh. The three hours juss passed.

Films like OSO where SRK says he produces films for his friends and at the age of 40 he is doing an itme number juss to fill the movie..

TZP is a sensible and artistic movie which depicts creativity and emotions of the real world.

I watched the movie and could not stop weeping for an hour after that.More than major theme of the movie,we all being students should not diregard the fact that "Child Labour" persists.Just because it did not happen to us, we cannot ignore this fact.If you had watched the clips after the movie ends, they are really touchy.I guess Amir Khan beautifully captured all these clips and it is shame on us if we still be selfish and do nothing for the society. The scene in the song where a kid works at a tea stall, and AK brings him to have Parle-G, is my favorite scene.AK has hinted that we should start thinking and doing something for the many orphans who are waiting for something to happen in their lives.

@pinky - Its very rare that I cry during a movie but this one ripped me off emotionally!!

I actually cried 3-4 times during the movie and saw several other people in the Audi doing the same...specially when the song "Maa" comes..its totally heart wrenching..

Anything which is done by heart, it shows...Aamir has done a fantastic job by making such a beautiful and meaningful film.

Hats Off to Mr.Khan for giving us an excellent movie at the year end...lets hope he give us more classics in future!

Thanks for stopping by Pinky :)

Take care!

Taare Zameen par.. WOW!!! wonderful in every aspect.. Emotional, sensitive and real..If ever I see the master maker himself, I would congratulate him for being different always and giving us movies which can make us realise what we are doing wrong in the real life. Thank him for teaching us new things and making us aware of some basic problems which I am sure we very conveniently over look.
Lovely movie, fantastic performances, makes you cry and want ot give the best to your child always...
