The evening of the 23rd of February came and went, and the 53rd Filmfare Awards went down in history, as yet another one to be remembered and cherished!
The tight security within the premises of Yashraj Studios, the elegance of the red carpet, the presence of stars - who ensured that not a strand of hair was out of place at this very formal black tie event - only added to the seriousness and elegance of Filmfare.

Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan all set for the gala evening.
Kareena Kapoor gets an award from Saif Ali Khan for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for the movie, Jab We Met.

Best Male Debutant Award went to Ranbir Kapoor - the lover boy of Saawariya - and the award was given by Jeetendra and Tushaar Kapoor.
The Sony Fresh Face of the Year Award goes to Deepika Padukone, the hot debutant of Om Shanti Om.
Priyanka Chopra came solo to announce the award for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) category. The award went to Irrfan Khan for Life In A Metro.
Konkona Sen Sharma received an award for Best Actor in a Suppoting Role (Female) for Life In A Metro. The award was presented by Niel Nitin Mukesh and Twinkle Khanna.
Rishi Kapoor was given Lifetime Achievment Award.
Bappi Lahiri and the ever-green Poonam Dhillon arrive to present the award for Best Music. It went to A R Rehman for Guru.
The Best Lyrics Award was given by Minissha Lamba and Sanjay Gadhvi to Prasoon Joshi for Maa, the song from Taare Zameen Par.
Shreya Ghoshal got an award for Best Playback Singer (Female) for Barso Re, the song from Guru and the award was given by Arshad Warsi and Mukesh Bhatt.
Award for the Best Dialogue went to Imitiaz Ali for the movie Jab We Met. The award was presented by Madhur Bhandarkar and Aftab Shivdasani.
The gorgeous Karisma Kapoor and Ramesh Sippy came to present the Power Award which went to Yash and Aditya Chopra.
Award for the Best Screenplay went to Anurag Basu for Life In A Metro. Fardeen Khan did the honours of presenting the award.
Saif and SRK introduced their own in-formal awards known as the Na-Real Awards! And the Na-Real Award for Wardrobe Malfunction went to Vidya Balan for her look in Heyy Babyy.

You're forgetting that, he was not the main actor in that movie.
The main actor was Darsheel and Aamir was the Director, so obviously, he got the Best Director Award (which I knew right from the moment I saw TZP!)

There is so much talent in film industry - as well as in India - which is un-noticed by all these so called Big Shots.
However, on a positive note, I feel that, unka be din jaldi aayega :)
