Jodhaa Akbar's official website launched

The first phase of the website of UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowarikar Productions' Jodhaa Akbar has been launched.

Although the website is right now in its infancy, the next phase, which will be launched around the time of the film's music launch, will unveil much more content.

The first phase has a small note from Ashutosh Gowarikar as the Director's Welcome Note and also lists the entire cast (along with the characters they play) and crew members. All five of the posters, which have been showcased so far, are available for download.

However, the theatrical trailer on the website will be uploaded on the site by Diwali. Users can register on the site now, and receive updates whenever new content is uploaded and take part in the Discussion Board, which will also be launched on November 9.

Jodhaa Akbar is a sixteenth century story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between the greatest Mughal emperor that ruled Hindustan, Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, and the fiery young Rajput princess, Jodhaa.

With Hrithik Roshan as Akbar and Aishwarya Rai as Jodhaa, the film is slated for release on January 25, 2008.
